This small, tranquil town, capital of the Isle of Purbeck and with a population of just over 10,000 inhabitants, is an ideal spot for children and teenagers to spend a summer abroad learning English. The island's picturesque beaches and principal city attractions are just a quick 10-minute walk from the academic center.
Just 2.5 hours from London, this marvellous area of England's south coast offers every type of opportunity and cultural activity.
8 - 17 years old
This program receives individual students from June 1st to September 14th, and students can join in every Saturday and decide their desired course length. The prohram takes place from Saturday to Saturday.
There is the option of requesting assistance for minors at the airport.
The principal residence in which the program takes place is formed by an impressive complex that contains a heated pool, a meeting room, ping-pong, a theater, a movie cinema, squash court, a cafeteria, an infirmary and more.
From Monday to Friday, students will have a total of 15 hours of English lessons. Classes are held in the morning.
Students have 2 options:
1) In the academic center, sharing 4- to 6-person rooms with full board (breakfast, lunch and dinner).
2) In carefully selected host families located very close to the academic center. Full board included.
Students under 14 years of age can stay only in the residence.
Students can choose from:
All of these options include: 1 full-day excursion for a 2-week program; 2 full day excursions for a 3-week program; or 3 full-day excursions for a 4-week program. In addition, on the second Sunday of the stay there will be a half-day excursion.
Students will have constant assistance and supervision provided by local native counselors.
