Ramsgate is a picturesque seaside town in southeastern England with beautiful old buildings, a charming port zone surrounding the Royal Harbour and a comfortable population of 42,000. It is an important port and commercial hub, with excellent sports installations in the town and throughout its immediate surroundings.
Less than 2 hours from London, as a relatively small town Ramsgate is a safe place in which our young participants can safely enjoy all it has to offer and take full advantage of a summer English course! See why the affluent Brit's choose the beautiful coastline and attractive city of Ramsgate for their UK summer vacations.
For more than 39 years, this college has received students from over 30 different nationalities and it is one of the most prestigious schools in the United Kingdom. Accredited by various international bodies, the school is located practically next to the beach at Ramsgate and is composed of a number of buildings throughout the city.
The program consists of 20 English course lessons per week in international groupings. At the beginning of the program, each student will take an English level test to ensure their placement in the appropriate course level. Students will be divided into 2 groups according to age too; those aged 13 to 15 and those aged 16 to 18. These 2 age groupings apply both to classes and also to weekday activities. Classes will be either in the morning or the afternoon according to the school.
Each lesson is equivalent to 45 actual minutes of class.
Host families that treat the student as one of their own. In each family, there will be no other Spanish-speaking student, though the room will be shared with another international student. Students will receive full board (breakfast, lunch & dinner) and all students will be able to reach the school on foot.
Students will be able to make full and half day visits to some of the most emblematic destinations such as London, Canterbury, Cambridge or Oxford, and Brighton. Equally, the program includes a varied schedule of sport and recreational activities. The school has its own common room where students can meet after dinner and particpate in parties and international discos.
Native English counselors as well as our own counselors will accompany and monitor the students at all times. Students will meet our counselors before their arrival during the informational orientation during which all course details will be discussed.
