Located just 2 hours from London and in the county of Dorset on the southern coast of England, Bournemouth and its 12 kilometers of beaches makes for an ideal place to learn and practice English whilst enjoying one of the warmest, driest and sunniest climates in Great Britain.
The town borders Poole to the west and Christchurch to the east and boasts outstanding views over the Bay of Poole. The large town has an estimated population of 164,000 of which a large proportion are students who study at the University of Bournemouth, giving the town a very student feel.
14 to 17 years old
From June 29 to July 20 (3 weeks)
The program takes place in the University, a young and modern campus given its construction in the 1950's on the foundation of the former Bournemouth Municipal College.
The university has two campuses and the program is held on the Talbot Campus, just 3 kilometers from the center of the city, where students will enjoy large and spacious areas as well as excellent athletic installations.
Students will receive 15 hours of general English lessons per week in groups with a maximum of 15 students, with groups organized according to age and level of English.
Students will have the option of staying with a host family in a shared double room with another international student; or in the university campus' residence, comprised of various "houses", where they will have an individual room and share bathrooms, a common room and a kitchen. In both cases, students will enjoy a full board.
The program includes a diverse and complete program of activities both after classes and after dinner with students enjoying barbecues, sports, movies, contests, international parties...
The program also includes one partial day excursion per week to places like: Poole, Corfe Castle in Swanage, Weymouth... as well as one full day excursion to places like: London, Bath, Oxford or Winchester.
