The small city of Canterbury has just over 40,000 inhabitants and represents a city that's small in population but big in terms of symbolic value for the English people, for it is the seat of the most important cathedral in the Anglican world. Canterbury is also the home of two important universities, which receive around 20,000 students every year. Its walled city is one of the most representative of the country.
13 to 18 years old
From July 7 to July 27 (3 weeks)
The main school building is located in the heart of the city's downtown, in the oldest brick building of Canterbury, which dates from 1625. Nonetheless, there is also another building with classrooms which is mainly used during the summer season. Both of them are in the very centre of the city of Canterbury, and only a minute away on foot from the main commercial area, Dane John Park.
The program includes 20 lessons per week in international groups. Each student will be assigned to its corresponding level, once they have completed the level test. The maximum number of students in each class is 15. Host family accommodations are only a 10 to 30 minute walk from the school.
Host families that treat the student as one of their own. In each family, there will be no other Spanish-speaking student. The students will receive full board (breakfast, lunch and dinner) in a double room, shared with another international student.
Each week, students will have one full-day and one half-day excursion to places like London, Dover Castle, Leeds Castle, Brighton...
The program also includes a complete bill of daytime activities emcompassing sports and cultural activities as well as a full evening activites program such as movies, karaoke, discos, games, handicrafts, etc 7 days a week. The students will be accompanied native counselors and supervised by our own monitor.
Students are accompanied at all times by a Spanish counselor as well as a native monitor whilst travelling from Madrid Barajas airport.
