Located just a one-hour train ride from London, Cambridge is one of England's top cities for students - not only to learn English but also to get to know the English lifestyle.
A historical city for its long-standing academic tradition and vibrant atmosphere, Cambridge has a population of over 108,000 and offers students a wide range of cultural and recreational activities.
16 to 19 years old
Duration of courses: from 2 to 8 weeks.
Starting dates: June 30; July 7, 14, 21, 28; August 4, 11
The school will close on August 25.
The program takes place in a fantastic college - "Ridley Hall" - that belongs to the University of Cambridge. It's located about 10 minutes walk from the city center. In a university environment, the school offers excellent facilities including fully equipped classrooms, student lounges, dining rooms and more.
Once students have taken the language level test, they will be placed in groups of no more than 15 students. The program includes 15 hours of general English that will cover the four main areas of the language: grammar, vocabulary, conversation and pronunciation.
Students will stay in a university residence with a full board treatment. The residence will be asigned by the school depending on the vacancies available, and is located in the same university campus, or 5 to 10 minutes away on foot from the university. In both cases, there are double and individual rooms (depending on the scool). In all of the options, meals are prepared in Ridley Hall.
The summer English course in Cambridge is accompanied by a diverse and complete schedule of activities. Each week there are 4 activities during the morning or afternoon (visit to King's College, football, visit to the Botanical Gardens...), a full day excursion every Sunday (to places like London, Hampton Court Palace and Richmond, Stratford...) and activities everyday after dinner (film screenings, bingo, creative activities...).
Students will be accompanied at all times by local native English councelors.
