Santa Barbara is a picturesque and prosperous city in southern California. Its mild climate, relaxed atmosphere and beautiful scenery make it the perfect place to study and relax during free time. Students will be able to discover the historic city with its Spanish-style architecture, enjoy spectacular walks along the Pacific coast or experience all the glamour of Los Ángeles, just 144 kilometers away.
The school is located on Santa Barbara City College's (SBCC) campus and just a few steps from the beach. Students can take advantage of the school's computer lab, the campus libraries, a café and snack shop, and there is also the possibility of signing up at a fitness center. Students can join the college's diverse sports and social events programs ranging from football and surfing to music and theater.

Families
Staying with a North American family and sharing in their lives provides the student with not only a great way to improve the language but also the experience of partaking in the family's day-to-day life. The student will stay in a single or double room with a partial board meal plan.
Shared apartment
The apartments are located 20 minutes from the academic center. Each apartment has one individual room, one double room and one triple room. The are fully-equipped with a kitchen, common room and bathroom. The apartment building also has a pool.
Any sea-loving student will without a doubt enjoy the kilometers of beaches along with a diverse sports program organized by the college. From Santa Barbara you can take half-day, full-day or weekend trips to wonderful destinations such as its famous vineyards, Los Angeles, Yosemite Park, Las Vegas and many more.
