Egypt is known around the world, especially for the court of its famous pharaohs and its magnificent and enigmatic pyramids. Inhabited since around the year 4000 BC, Egypt was already divided in kingdoms that began uniting under Menes, the first king of Upper and Lower Egypt. Following him were 30 dynasties of pharaohs up until the year 31 AD, when Cleopatra died.

Egypt brims with life, from the absolute nothingness of the desert to the Fountain of Life, the Nile, and on to the whirlpool of cities where different cultures, traditions and customs mesh together.
