Philadelphia is an important historic and academic city and was the first capital of the United States.
It was here that the Declaration of Independence was signed in 1776. The great nation that is the Untied States of America was born right here in Philadelphia.
With the passage of time and the success of those efforts, Philadelphia continued to grow, eventually becoming the huge metropolis that it is today.
This recently renovated school is located in the center of the city, near the City Hall and just a short walk from all the major attractions. Its modern facilities include a library, a study room, a student lounge and a multimedia center.
General English
Families
Selected by the school, host families are located between 30 and 45 minutes from the school. They are typical North American families that provide students with an enjoyable environment in which to practice the language. The student will stay in a single or double room with a half-board meal plan every day of the week.
University Residence
The residence is located right on the Philadelphia University campus. Each block is divided into various apartments, each of which has several indivual rooms that share a bathroom, kitchen and common room.
You will be able to visit the historic city center, the National Historical Park with its famous Liberty Bell, or walk along the streets of Society Hill lit by gas streetlamps. Try the food found in the stalls of the busy Reading Terminal Market or catch a Phillies baseball game in Citizens Bank Park. Furthermore, from Philadelphia you can easily organize weekend trips to New York or Washington, D.C.
