Located in Mexico's central valley, Oaxaca - a city of roughly 500,000 inhabitants - is the capital of the Oaxaca State, enjoys a beautiful spring-like climate all year-round.

Situated right in the city center, our Spanish school is just 3 blocks from the 16th century Santo Domingo Convent, 4 blocks from the Zócalo (main square) and in the midest of countless restaurants, museums, art galleries and internet cafés.
The academic center is located in an old colonial home with thick walls- perfect for keeping the classrooms comfortable and cool! As a study abroad student in Oaxaca, you will enjoy 15 classrooms (20 during high season); a conference room with TV, DVD, VCR and stereo; an internet/ library room with 3 computers and wireless internet connection; a large central patio ideal for socializing with fellow students over a drink or snack; and much, much more!
Minimum age to study abroad in Oaxaca: 16 years without a guardian, under 16 when accompanied by an adult.
Families
Staying with a host family in Oaxaca and participating in their day-to-day life is the best way to learn the language and discover Mexico's culture. You will stay in a single room or double room (only available for 2 students traveling together) with a bed and breakfast or half board meal plan.
Student Residences
You can also choose to reside in one of Oaxaca's student residences on a bed and breakfast basis. These residences are dispersed throughout the city. Double rooms are available for 2 students traveling together.
To help guide you towards a greater cultural, our school in Oaxaca organizes a weekly social calendar, which will include one movie night, one salsa dance class and one café social each week.
In addition, we also organize a variety of weekend excursions. Some of more common trips include: Zapotecan archeological sites, old colonial towns, paragliding, mountain biking and hiking.
