From the fall of Berlin's wall on, in 1989, the city, with around 3 and a half million people living in it, has quickly evolved and transformed into a true metropolis. The amazing government district with the modern Reichstag dome, the numerous boutiques and shops, the renewed backyards of the Prenzlauer Berg neighbourhood, the Holocaust memorial, Potsdamer Platz or the Museum Island are some of the sights that attract the visitors. Students can also make friends from every corner of the world in Berlin.
The academic center is located in Berlin Mitte, in Novalisstrasse, a calm street near Oranienburger Strasse, the liveliest area of the city with more than 40 cafes, bars, shops and galleries. It features 2 floors with a very nice and spacious atmosphere. during breaks, the students can have a coffee and take drinks from the cafeteria machines, as well as surfing the Internet. It also has a terrace on the rooftop where students can relax and take drinks after classes.
General Intensive German Course
Families
This type of accommodation is a true classic for one reason: the student that lives with a host family keeps learning Geman in a calm and personal way after classes, as one more member of the family. You'll stay in an individual room and may choose to stay on a basis without meals, with breakfast only or half board.
Apartaments
Take the shared apartment option with other students or a family. With this option you'll have a single room, but the kitchen and bathroom will be shared with other German students.
Hotels - Residences
In youth hotels you'll have a great degree of independence, together with your school mates. There's an option of a "Budget" hotel-residence, without meals, or "Standard" and "Superior" hotel-residence with a breakfast included. Plus, there's the option of a double room, but only for students traveling together.
The school offers a large array of possibilities to enjoy the free hours with the students. Of course, they are not compulsory, but you shouldn't miss them. Interesting and educative visits around the historic quarter, the alternative cultural center Tacheles, the "Friedrichstadtpalast" theatre, the wonderful sinagogue, the lively outdoor terraces of Hackesher Markt, the remainings of the Berlin wall, trips to Potsdam, the former residence of the kings of Prusia, and the "Cecilienhof" castle.
