Fittingly referred to as the "City of the Sun," Alicante lies between the mountains and the sea, creating a microclimate that yields mild temperatures all year-round. So, if you've always imagined Spain as a warm, Mediterranean paradise, Alicante is just the place for you!
Alicante's rich history dates back to the Romans, the first of a long string of civilizations to be attracted to its seaside air, abundant sunshine and strategic Mediterranean location. The Arabs stayed for over 500 years before the Christians swept in during the 13th century and claimed Alicante in name of the Spanish crown.
Maintaining a dynamic vibe that is simultaneously tranquil beach town and lively city, Alicante captivates visitors with its rich history and vibrant culture. Join the locals, for example, in the yearly festivities surrounding "Las Hogueras," in which massive, elaborate papier-maché sculptures are constructed and then burned amidst parades and fireworks.
Whether you want to kick back and sip a drink on the palm-lined esplanades, take on the energetic nightlife or soak up the atmosphere of the beautiful old quarter, Alicante has something to offer for all tastes and styles.

Families
Staying with a host family in Alicante and participating in their day-to-day life is the best way to learn the language and discover Spain's culture. You will stay in a single or double room with either half or full board.
Student Apartment - Shared Flat
Enforex also has several apartments that we rent out exclusively to our students. Apartments are furnished and include a fully-equipped kitchen so you can prepare your own meals. You can choose between a single, double or triple room. There is no meal plan available.
Private Lodging
Some students opt to seek out their own private accommodations in a rented apartment, a hotel or a hostel. We will be happy to point you in the right direction or even book you a place- just let us know what your preferences, needs and budget are in advance!
At Enforex Alicante, we want to help our students acquire an in-depth perspective on the culture and society surrounded them. One day each week is slated for Spanish language film projections and another for dance lessons. These types of activities are generally free of charge, but you may have to pay out-of-pocket expenses (museum entrance fees, transportation, etc.) for other activities.
Our most common afternoon activities are: city tour of Alicante, Santa Bárbara Castle, local markets, museums and special events (Las Hogueras, Fine Arts, Archaeology, the Aquarium, etc.)
Enforex Alicante also offers weekend trips to other Spanish destinations. These excursions are option and cost €30 and up, depending on the duration and distance of the trip. Some examples are: Madrid, Valencia, Barcelona, Benidorm, Alcoi and the "Moors & Christians Festival," and Elche and its palm trees.
