The city of Ottawa is the capital of Canada and the fourth largest city in the country along with the second greenest. It is located in the extreme southeast of Ontario and on the banks of the Ottawa river, which constitutes the border between Ontario and Quebec. It is located 400 kilometers from Toronto and 200 kilometers west of Montreal. The city has a population of 812,000 inhabitants.

The classes take place in an academic center with facilities that include comfortable classrooms as well as green areas for enjoying sports.

Classes

This unique program offers students an intensive English course in a totally Canadian environment where our students integrate with French-speaking Canadians from Quebec; all students commit to speaking entirely in English.

The program consists of 18 lessons per week of English in groups divided by level, with each student's level of English determined on the first day by a level test.

Accommodations

Staying with Canadian host families that treat the students as if they were one of their own. There will be no more than one Spanish-speaking student per family and the stay is on a full board basis of 3 meals per day.

Activities & Excursions

  • In addition to a varied sporting and cultural program which includes activities every afternoon following classes, there are also activities some days after dinner. The students will participate in sporting contests, international parties, theater work, karaoke and participate in part and full day excursions.
