The city of Auckland (pop. 1 million), covers some 50 kilometers and boasts two of the world's most beautiful ports. The differently colored boats in the water, along with the many windsurfers, have garnered Auckland the nickname: "City of Sails."
Auckland is the largest metropolitan area in New Zealand and although Wellington is the capital of the country, Auckland is the more important city, both in terms of population and economy.

The summer English course in Auckland is held in renowned academic center attended by students of diverse nationalities. There are comfortable classrooms and common spaces for the students.
The program consists of 15 hours each week of English classes. After a language test at the very beginning, students will be grouped into the appropriate course levels. There are 3 daily hours of English classes from Monday to Friday, in intrnational groups of maximum 15 students.
Our students will be provided with housing and full board (breakfast, lunch and dinner) with carefully-chosen host families. Most of the students will stay in a single room. New Zealand families boast diverse origins and combine western and eastern traditions. Transport between the family and the school will be via a short ride on public transportation.
We offer our students a sports and activities program including climbing, bowling, skating, sailing and canoeing. There are also some cultural activities such as: a city tour, excursions to nearby tourist sites, a concert of Māori music, visits to museums...The program includes a weekend excursion to Rotorua, the heart of the native New Zealander Māori culture and home to many wondeful Māori myths and legends.
