About Lignano, Italy

Lignano is a peninsula along the Adriatic Sea and located between Venice and Trieste. With its mild climate and excellent sports and leisure facilities, Lignano is a popular vacation destination.

Lignano boasts a lively atmosphere and various places of interest; together, they provide the ideal setting for students to have fun and learn Italian.

Academic Center

The school is situated in a quiet residential neighborhood between the Adriatic coast and a lush pine forest. During vacation times, the center welcomes young Italian and foreign students who can enjoy a small private beach, numerous athletic facilities and rooms where they can participate in various cultural activities.

Italian Course Characteristics

The program features 24 cumulative lessons each week; classes are held from Monday to Friday in small groups of international students. At the very beginning of the program, students take a language test to ensure that we place them in the appropriate Italian langauge course level.

Accommodation

The Italian course in Lignano is a residential program. As such, students will stay right at the school, share 3-person rooms with private bathrooms, and be provided with full board (breakfast, lunch and dinner)

Activities & Sports

Each week, students will take a full-day excursion to nearby places of interest such as Venice, Verona, the Gardaland theme park, Trieste, etc.

Additionally, the school and its facilities provides ample spaces for swimming, tennis, beach volleyball and football... activities scheduled during the afternoons.

Counselors & Supervision

Students will be accompanied and supervised 24-hours a day by our our native Italian-speaking counselors who stay in the residence along with the students. In addition, the school boasts an infirmary and doctor that can attend to students' medical needs.
