Summer Course Abroad for Teenagers in Swanage, England

• Program for children: 8 to 11 years old
• Program for teenagers: 12 to 17 years old
• Starting date: any Saturday between June 7 and Septebmer 13
• Program with Spanish counselor: 3 weeks, from July 5th to July 26th; for 2, 3, 5, 6, 7 or 8 weeks.
• 15 hours of English lessons per week
• Accommodation: Residence or Host Family

Students can begin on any Saturday between June 9th and September 8th as well as choose the length of their own program. In these cases, native English counselors will meet students upon their arrival to the airport.

About Swanage

This tranquil town, capital of the Isle of Purbeck, is an ideal spot for children and teenagers to spend a summer abroad learning English. The island's picturesque beaches and principal city attractions are just a quick 10-minute walk from the academic center.

Academic Center

The principal residence in which the program takes place is formed by an impressive complex that contains a heated pool, a meeting room, ping-pong, a theater, a movie cinema, squash court, a cafeteria, an infirmary and more.

Course Characteristics

From Monday to Friday, students will have a total of 15 hours of English lessons. Classes are held in the morning.

Accommodations

Students have 2 options:

1) In the academic center, sharing 4- or 6-person rooms with full board (breakfast, lunch and dinner). Students older htan 16 will share double rooms.

2) In carefully selected host families located very close to the academic center. Full board included. Students under 13 years of age can stay only in the residence.

• 15 leisure activities such as trips to the countryside, card games, music, walks...
• One full-day excursion to cities like London, Oxford, Bath, Salisbury...
• Partial-day excursions every 2 weeks

English + Sports + Leisure

• 8 to 11 years old
• 2 morning activities per week
• 3 excursions per week to several of the following destinations: Corfe Castle, Studland beach, Monkey World, Oceanarium, Putlake Farm, Poole Pottery, boat excursion...

Counselors

Students will have the 24-hour supervision of English counselors.
