About Hastings, Inglaterra
This small city of 84,000 in southeast England is just 1 and a half hours from London by train. It's pefect for those students who truly want to take advantage of their stay in the country. Hastings dates back to 1066 and holds many landscapes that will transport you back to the Middle Ages.
The English School in Hastings
This school is composed of 2 buildings with classrooms, libraries, laboratories, study halls and internet rooms. Classes are small with a maximum of 8 students per class, except during the months of July & August, when there may be up to 12.
You'll be joining students from about 40 different countries with an average of 70 students from September to June and 170 during July and August.
English Language Courses in Hastings
General English Course
- Program: 20 or 31 lessons of 45 minutes per week
- Course duration: minimum of 2 and up to 52 weeks

Acccommodations
Families
Even for adults and executives, the only housing option is a home stay. The evaluations our students have filled out at the end of their courses have led us to encourage all participants to stay with a host family, where the language learning process has proven to be much more accelerated.
You'll have a private room with half board during the week and full board on weekends. 99% of the families live at a 2 to 15 minute walk from the English Language School.
Cultural Activities
The school organizes trips to different English and European cities like London, Brighton, Cambridge, Oxford, Canterbury, Edinburgh, Paris, Brussels and Amsterdam.
You can also get to know the city center through activities at pubs, theaters, cinemas, barbecues as well as practicing sports like badminton, volleyball, horseback riding, golf, tennis and ping pong.
At the school there will be a constant flow of things to do like movie screenings and cultural events. The afternoon activities and weekend excursions may include an extra charge to cover entrance and transportation fees.
